Vanishing ad? If your ad was live but has disappeared, there are a few reasons this might happen.
Has it expired?
From when you post it, your ad will be live for 30 days in every category except Services, Property and Jobs where it will be live for 60 days. Look in My Gumtree > Manage My Ads. You’ll see your inactive ads here. Applying a Bump Up feature will reset your ad's timer to be live for another 30 days.
Have you missed an email from us?
Check your inbox or spam folder because we’ll always contact you if we need you to edit or delete your ad, or block your account. These actions could make your ad disappear, or at least move it to an edit state in your My Gumtree account until you fix the problem.
We might do this if we spot, or another user reports, something wrong with your ad. Don’t worry – our email will explain what’s happened and what you need to do to put things right.
Can't find it in the queues?
If your ad is active but you can’t find it on the site, remember to include your local area as well as your ad’s category in the search bar. Looking in too wide an area or category can make even highly ranked ads hard to find.
If you’re using keywords and still cannot find your ads, remember that keywords need to be exact. Double check that the words you’re using to search are actually included in your ad, and are spelled the same way.
